“O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the suffering and cure the illness. You are the One who cures. There is no cure except Your cure –
a cure that leaves no illness behind.”
This is a beautiful supplication for healing. It acknowledges that Allah is the Lord of all people and that ultimate healing comes from Him. At the same time, seeking medical treatment and using appropriate remedies is compatible with placing one’s trust in Allah.
The supplication is narrated from Aisha (RA) and is recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
